Excel 2002: Any quick way for editing VLOOKUP formulas ?
Dear Sir,
I wish to lookup reference in B255:B550 for the columnar values from Day 1 to day 26 in table 1. Table 1 A B C -- AA Day 1 Day 2 Day 26 1 B129 XXX 2 H451 XXX 5 K987 XXX 250 T289 XXX Lookup Day 1 Day2 Day 26 255 L224 =Vlookup() 256 T189 550 B129 Usually I enter =VLOOKUP($B255,$A$1:$AA$250,2,False) at cell C255 and copy across to the last column at day 26. After that I need to change the column reference for formula for each day i.e. from 2 up to 27. Next I would copy the first row downwards to cover the entire block C255:AB550. After this I would get the result. This is a tedious task. Is there any method for the row reference to increase automatically as I copy the formula across ? Alternatively, is there any other more suitable formulas that I could use to make the work more easier? Thanks Low -- A36B58K641 |
