Selecting Data From a Table With percentage limits
Hi,
I have problem which i need to find out which would help me loads when im at work. The data shown below is what i would like to do to choose the correct type of seal for the correct size of hole. So i would like to input my hole size then it looks up my data in the table and choose the correct seal and puts it into the result box. But each seal can be used to -1% to +10% of there size. so i would it would have to take inaccount for this. also if there is no correct seal say N/A, Example. Here i have a hole of 13 so i would like it to look in the table and bring back the correct seal i would use i.e 4. easy!!! But if i had a hole size of 14 then i would like it to show i need to use seal No 5 because thats within -1% to +10% of the hole size. Also if my hole size was 10.5 i would it to show me that there is N/A because its not within the limits set. Hope one of you guys can help me pls!!!!! Hole 13 ------- input data Seal 4 ------- Result ------------------------------- Table Seal Hole Size 1 10 2 11 3 12 4 13 5 14.1 6 15 7 16 P.s i use Excel 2003, just to let you know. Many Thanks! -- Jonno |
