Where does Save As Automatic Backup save its files?
I understand that you can go to File Save As General & check the Always
create backup box to create backups. Where are these files stored? Can you change the location or naming convention so you can ensure previous backup files are not overwritten? Is this a full backup? Or only the changes? Thanks, -- JoAnn |

The backup files are stored in the same folder as the original.
If the original file is named book1.xls, then the backup will be named: backup of book1.xlk The location is determined by excel--not the user. And excel is different from word. You save the complete file. There are no "fast" saves. JoAnn wrote: I understand that you can go to File Save As General & check the Always create backup box to create backups. Backups are saved to the folder that the original file is opened from.
Previous backups are overwritten. Full backup always one version behind your current save.
