some cells display formulas, some display values
In the same worksheet at the same time, I have some cells that properly
display formula values, but others will only display the formula. It is as if Excel does not recognize =8+8 as a formula in some cells, but does in others. CNTRL+` does not work. Is it a format issue, or some setting? |

You'd probably formatted the cells as text before you entered the formula.
