when i press TAB key in an excel sheet nothing happens?

this was a sheet that was sent to me so i dont know what settings were played
with.

it is Quite annoying as the TAB doesnt move to the next cell like usual

i know how to change the way ENTER behaves but cannot find a setting for the
TAB button

Are you sure the Tab key does nothing?

Could be the sheet is protected.

Does the Tab key jump across many columns instead of one?

Do you have "Transition Navigation Keys" enabled at ToolsOptionsTransition?

Disable if so.

HI

yes the ta key does nothing i enabled the transition and then the sheet
jumps multiple columns and then i disabled the transition and it does nothing.

the sheet is protected with a password but i cannot understand why this
would disable the tab key
