File shows as locked on my machine only
I'm using MS Excel 2003.
I had two files open - one checked out from sharepoint and one opened from our network. The file from the network froze so I used the task manager to shut it down. This action also closed the Sharepoint file. Next time I checked out the Sharepoint file and tried to open it gave me an error saying that it was locked for editing. I asked other people if they cold check it out and/or access it and it was no problem. Now when I try to open it from the network or through the sharepoint interface, I can check it in or out but always get an error message that the last person who opened it has it locked for editing even though they don't have it open or checked out. Thanks, - James |
