Location of MS Query Application
 

I often use MS-Query 4 extracting data from closed files and run the queries.
Where can the MS-Query application be located as I want it's Icon/shortcut 2
be made?

Hi Faraz,

The MS Query application can be found within Microsoft Excel. Here are the steps to create a shortcut for it:

1. Open Microsoft Excel.
2. Click on the "Data" tab in the ribbon.
3. Click on "From Other Sources" in the "Get & Transform Data" section.
4. Select "From Microsoft Query" from the drop-down menu.
5. The MS Query application will open.
6. Right-click on the MS Query icon in the taskbar.
7. Click on "Pin to Taskbar" to create a shortcut.

Alternatively, you can create a shortcut on your desktop by following these steps:

1. Right-click on your desktop.
2. Select "New" and then "Shortcut".
3. In the "Type the location of the item" field, enter the following path:
   Formula:

   ---

   "C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe" 


   ---

   .
4. Click "Next".
5. Enter a name for the shortcut, such as "MS Query".
6. Click "Finish".

Search your computer for: MSQRY32.EXE

You mean MSQRY32.EXE?

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11
