Have you tried using the TEXT function?

I have tried that...
Ideally, I would like to be able to enter the date and use the Excel features of date formatting. So currently, if I type in the date format, and then convert to text, it gives me the excel date number as text. I can do cut and paste special into a pre-formatted text column and get the excel date number as well. I can manaully type in a text formatted box text that looks like date, but that I feel just adds to many manual steps to generate an xml file and you don't get consist formating. I don't think I am asking for to much.. :) Thanks "David Biddulph" wrote: Have you tried using the TEXT function? -- David Biddulph "Nicholas" wrote in message ... I don't understand what you are trying to do with your xml. If you have a
date in column A, the TEXT functuion would give you a text representation of that date in column B. Can't you use that to generate your xml? -- David Biddulph "Nicholas" wrote in message ...
