Data validation drop-down box
Hi,
I've been using the data validation 'list' for a long time and it's worked great. Today, I used it and when I hit the drop-down arrow, the list was very WIDE. It was only 8 characters long so I couldn't figure out why it was so wide. Any ideas on what I can do to make it the same width as the column it's in. Thanks, damanwitdaplan |
Data validation drop-down box
Does this worksheet have any merged cells?
Is the cell with Data|Validation in a merged cells? If yes to either (I don't recall the details), then this seems to be a bug--pretty unusual, but still a bug. I _think_ one solution was to delete the row with the problem and insert a new row and reapply everything you need (formatting/formulas/data|validation). But I'm not sure if I remember correctly. You'll want to test it before you spend time fixing lots of cells/rows. Please post back with your results. Then Google will have it and it may help the next victim. damanwitdaplan wrote: Hi, I've been using the data validation 'list' for a long time and it's worked great.
