How I display negative amounts in parenthesis?
 
I don't want the little dash in front of the amount to show it is negative. I
want the amount in parenthesis

Hi,

you may get away with
format|Cells|number and select the paren option from the dropdown.

If negative brackets are not available then it's over to Windows

StartSettingsControl PanelRegional and Language SettingsRegional
OptionsCustomizeCurrencyNegative Currency Format. Click on drop-down
arrow
and select the ($1.1)

Repeat the above for number and it should then be in the Excel format dialog

You should have the option of bracketed negative numbers.
