I want "(c)" to appear in the cell - not "©"

Excel wants to change it for me, every time. The cell is formatted as
Text.
How do I suppress this feature? I can't find it in Options.

Thanks!

I want "(c)" to appear in the cell - not "©"

You can find it on Tools | Autocorrect - it is the first one listed on
my XL 2000. Just remove it from the list of autocorrections.

Hope this helps.

I want "(c)" to appear in the cell - not "©"

Another option is to press CTRL + Z to undo the autocorrect option.
This will only work after the next key is tapped and will not work after
enter is pressed.
