Conditional Formatting

Hi, does anyone have a resource that says what could cause conditional
formatting to NOT be an option? Basically, I'm trying to format this sheet,
and I can't select conditional formatting.

Two reasons I can think of.

1. The sheet is protected.

2. The workbook is shared.

Can you tell me how to verify whether these are true? I'm relatively certain
its not protected, as unprotect is not an option - how can I verify whether
or not it is shared? And how can I unshare it so I can edit it?

ToolsShare Workbook.

If shared, the optionbox "Allow changes by more than one user etc." will have a
check in it and the name(s) of who has it open currently.

To unshare, disable the "Allow" option and save the workbook.

Actually Excel will ask you to save.
