When I open an Excel file, it will automatically open it 3-5 times. any
ideas on how to stop this? |

Is this happening with all Excel files? If it's only happening to a
particular workbook you may have opened multiple window of the same file. Check the title bar and if the title bar displays FileName:1, or FileName:2 you have multiple windows opened.
