how do i refresh random numbers on windows vista
 
on windows xp you could push f7 i think it was and the random numbers would
change so if doing a vlookup for example you would get different figures.
however in vista i cannot figure out how to do this. pleas help

F7 does a spell check of the worksheet. F9 recalculates the workbook.
Shift+F9 recalculates the worksheet. Excel's function keys have nothing to
do with Vista or XP.

Windows Vista and Windows XP don't do spread sheets, what version of
Excel are you using. In Excel 2003 it is F9 to recalc.
