I am trying to arrange zip codes in horizontal numeric order so I can read
them like reading a paragraph in a book. How to do this please?

Thanks.

Do you just wish to sort horizontally?

Don't forget, except for XL07, you only have 256 columns!
OR
Do you want to go out a certain number of columns, and then drop down to the
next row, and continue in that fashion?

If so, how many columns do you wish to use?

One thought. Assume data in A2:A10. Copy the range, then right-click on say,
B1 Paste special Check "Transpose" OK. This will paste it horizontally
into B1:J1.

Why not just sort them? Just tell Excel you are storing left to right, not
top to bottom. If you need more help, let us know which version of Excel you
are using.

Fred.

I am using Excel 2003. 11 rows and 8 columns. I have tried selecting all
cells and sorting horizontally but it does not work. Needs to read like a
paragraph.

I tried that first suggestion to copy paste and transpose and I think it will
work.
Thanks to all of you for your help.
