Deleting data but keep formulas/formatting.

I've got a wookbook with 16 sheets. All of my data is on the first sheet. The
other 15 have formuals to automatically count, sum, average, add to a chart
etc etc from the first sheet.

How do I start over for the new year? I want to start another wookbook with
all the same formulas, formatting and pivot tables minus last years data.

Thanks, and PLEASE keep it simple.

If it's as simple as you say, select the data in sheet 1 and press delete.
Then go to FileSave as... and save as the new file with this year's name or
something.

Thanks, so I should save/copy my book with a differnt name (so I can save a
complete copy of the book), highlite the data, delete it and save/copy as
another name. Will this also blank out the data on teh other sheets? Or do I
need to do this on all the sheets? I'm thinkin it will automatically blank
out the other sheets.

I thought I'd have to do soemthing more than that to save all the
formatting, formuals and such.

You indeed kept it simple for me.

Thanks,

I would save it a few times so you still have the old data ;-). It sound
like you were saying you only have formulae on the other sheets. Deleting
their dependant data will indeed blank the data resulting from these
formulae on the other sheets, but as you add it this year, the formulae will
show the data again.

Just sensing your inexperience, please save a few copies of your current
years data before 'playing'

It should be simple
