Unlocking spreadsheet
We have a form created years ago. It is quite complex and whoever did it has
left. The form is locked and password protected. The form has been slightly changed by the government and we need to make the old one compliant. Is there anyway to bypass the password lock and keep all the hours of work expended creating the form? |

Hi,
If you simply want to remove workbook or worksheet protection then code to do that is here http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/removepwords.html Much more challenging is removing VBA passwords and despite what some would say freeware to do that is scarce. The one I purchased is here and is excellent http://www.lostpassword.com/excel.htm Mike "pkpilot" wrote: We have a form created years ago. It is quite complex and whoever did it has left. What needs unlocking?
Just the worksheet or workbook need unprotecting? I assume you can open the file. See JE McGimpsey's site for cracking internal passwords. http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/removepwords.html Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Fri, 22 Feb 2008 09:20:00 -0800, pkpilot wrote: We have a form created years ago.
