Goal seek - Is there a bug?
 

I have a relatively simple model but when I try to use the goal seek function
it runs the maximum number of iterations and finally no solution comes up.
Please note that
a) THERE IS a solution. I found it by trial and error.
b) In a similar model goal seek works just fine.
Any suggestion?

The ability to find a solution is dependent on the initial value of the
input. Can you adjust this to resolve the issue?

Unfortunately I tried this too. I started from a parameter value that gives
me a result very close to the price to the target result. Thanx anyway

Petros -

Try changing the iteration settings (Maximum iterations and Maximum change)
on the Tools | Options | Calculation tab.

In Excel 2007, choose Office Button | Excel Options | Formulas | Calculation
options.
