Copy one cell to another using a filter
 

Hi, I am trying to do a filter on a single cell that will allow me to select
from a list of words in another area of the worksheet, and place the selected
word into that cell.

i.e. Select filter on cell A1.
Drop down box appears with word/s from cells X1 to X12
Select word/s in X3
That word/s appears in cell A1.

I am using Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Excel 2000.

click Data/Validation,
Allow: List
Source: =$X$1:$X$12
