DDE updating
 

Hi, I am trying to connect two programs via DDE, One is Excel (Client) and
the other is Wizcon (server) which is an industrial application which is used
for data collection, I know that wizcon can use DDE and when I write teh
filed address in excel I get the correct value from Wizcon. The problem is
that Excel does not automatically update the value as it changes in Wizcon. I
have set teh spreadsheet to autoupdate but only get changes when I enter a
cell and exit it again, its as though it needs a nuge to receive the
refreshed data, anybody any ideas?

Hi,

Make sure that the 2 services Network DDE and Network DDE DSDM are started
and automatic.

it would be relevant with these 2 services to have the logon options as a
adminstrator instead of local system account
