Excel "can't find" double-clicked files
I have a client who, when they double-click on an Excel file the
program starts to open, and then pops up a dialog that states it can't find the specifed file. This also happens when trying to open the file after being downloaded from an email attachment. I can browse to the file and open it that way, as well as drag it into an open occurance of Excel. Both work fine like that, it's only when trying to double click directly the .xls file or open after downloading that it kicks up this error message. I've tried repairing the file associations, and checked the security settings, but to no avail. I know therewas a recent upgrade from 2003 to 2007 on this system, but overall, everything else appears to be working correctly. Any ideas? Thanks! PCF |
