What function can be used to convert a column of Standard Time to a column of
Military Time in Excel?
Is it a formula or formatting?

Answer: Converting Standard Time to Military Time in Excel

To convert a column of Standard Time to Military Time in Excel, you can use a formula. Here's how:
  1. First, make sure that the column containing the Standard Time is formatted as time. To do this, select the column, right-click, and choose "Format Cells." In the Format Cells dialog box, choose "Time" and select the appropriate time format.
  2. Next, create a new column where you want the Military Time to appear.
  3. In the first cell of the new column, enter the following formula: =TEXT(A1,"hh:mm")
  4. Replace "A1" with the cell reference of the first cell in the column containing the Standard Time.
  5. Press Enter to apply the formula to the first cell.
  6. Copy the formula down to the rest of the cells in the new column by dragging the fill handle (the small square in the bottom right corner of the cell) down to the last cell.
  7. The new column should now contain the Military Time equivalent of the Standard Time in the original column.

Note that the TEXT function is used to convert the Standard Time to Military Time format. The "hh:mm" format code specifies that the output should be in hours and minutes, with leading zeros if necessary.

What do you consider as Military Time format?

If 13:30 then use formatting under NumberTime

If 1330 there is no default Excel format for this.

Custom format to hmm;@

Note: the time will still be AM or PM in the formula bar.
