How do I protect a sheet with a pivotTable in it?

If I protect a worksheet with a pivot table, upon reopening the saved file I
get the Message:" PivotTable Report was saved without underlying data. ..."
Is there any way to protect the worksheet and then allow the pivotTabel to
be interactive?
