Excel data connection to Access
We have multiple users with a back end database. All users have XP2003
except one just started using Office 2007. 2007 user made a worksheet with query connections to the back end database. When he is in this spreadsheet it locks the database. I have never had any problem having queries open with 2003 locking the database. Any answers? |

This is a shot in the dark, but does the Excel user have the same read/write
privileges to the directory the back-end is located in. If not, your Excel user might have a lock file locally on his drive, preventing other users from getting to the database. -- Kevin Backmann "Sharon" wrote: We have multiple users with a back end database.
