Mass Update! (Excel 97)

Hi,

I have several identical workbooks setup for each user, i need to update
these workbooks without changing any of the data that they have input. While
i can into each workbook individually and update the worksheets within thm,
would there be a way to perform a mass update on each workbook/wooksheet just
altering particular information?

For example, i don't want to update A-J only L3:24-AB3:24.
With the update i need to insert several new columns and also several new
rows but only within columns L3:24-AB3:24 (or L3:26-AO3:26, as it would
become).

Can this be done? I have a blank master workbook that i use to plan changes,
could this be used as a template?

Thanks,

There is no Excel feature that makes parallel changes to a group of
workbooks. It has to be done manually or with a macro.

No. You'd have to write or record and modify one that made the edits you
want.

You cannot insert new rows in just certain columns and you cannot insert columns
in just certain rows.

Row and column properties are the property of the entire row and column.
