I'm working in some rather large sheets with data generated from Pivot tables.
To use the data I have to fill all the empty cells so I'm using the handle
tool to drag down, copying the data as I go.
In Year fields when I drag down the auto increment feature always takes the
year and increments ... same with most of the fields where the last character
is a numeral.
I want to turn that off to save me steps.

Barring a fix for the handle tool, is there a view of pivot tables that
fills in every cell? That would be even better.

Thanks in advance
Bill

I left click the lower right corner of the cell I want to copy down and hold
the alt key while dragging down over all the cells I want to copy to and
Excel is still incrementing all the way down. When I right click and drag
down, I get a menu that allows me to choose to copy or fill the series.

My bad, it's the Ctrl key, that switches the "increment" vs. copy. BUT,
only have the box around one cell.

While dragging a formatted date field, Excel will increment the date unless
you press Ctrl while dragging. While dragging a numeric field, Excel will
not increment the number unless you press Ctrl while dragging.
