Default View Problem Excel 2003

Long time Excel user running under XP, new issue have not seen
previously. A worksheet created by remote user cannot be displayed on
my machine, but can with other systems in the office. The only way the
file can be viewed is with full screen view, otherwise only gray
content below toolbar displays. Other spreadsheets display normally.
Have run out of ideas on how to diagnose the problem. Suspect a simple
explanation I am overlooking. Appreciate any
suggestions....thanks....Hal

I'd guess that after you open the workbook, the window for the worksheet is off
the visible screen.

I'd try:
Window|arrange|tiled
and resize it the way you want.

View/Normal might fix it

It seems to happen when their are multiple users and one of the users likes to
have less than a full window inside excel--and it seems to happen when that user
is on a laptop and the other user is on a desktop--just a difference in display
characteristics.
