2007 Assigning Range Names in one spreadsheet/worksheet
I know how to assign range names in 2003, but can't find it in 2007. Help

I think you might have been mislead by the "scope" dropdown in the New Name
dialog. Unless you want to have a new name be visible only on a specific sheet you can just ignore it, leaving it as "workbook".
