sum error
i'm trying to sum all contents in A:A, i used the funtion =sum(A:A) the
result is sum(A:A) exacly what it says, no result. can anyone help figure out whats wrong, pleaseee. Thank You. |

You need to put an = sign in front of the formula when you type it
into the cell, otherwise Excel will see it as text. Alternatively, the cell with that formula in might have been pre- formatted as text - if so, use Format | Cells | Number tab to change it to General or Number, and then re-enter the formula.
