I have a stacked bar chart with two values and I want to add the data label
of the combined value. I have only been able to add each individual number. Any ideas of how to get the totals. I have the totals done in the spreadsheet. |

If you mean Stacked Column chart, it's easy. Add another series that plots
the total. This makes another column, which you don't want, but don't quit. Select the added series, go to Chart menu Chart type, and change it to a line chart type. Double click on the line series, and on the Data Labels tab, choose the Show Values option, then on the Patterns tab, select None for markers and lines, and press Okay. Then double click on the labels, and on the Alignment tab, choose the Above position. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions Peltier Technical Services, Inc. - http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Ron H." <Ron wrote in message ...
