when I try to total a row I only get an answer of #### why?
I had a file saved in excel and when I edit it and try to get a sum for a
cell, I only get an answer that looks like #####? Why and how can i change it? |

Widen the column--or change to a smaller font.

First thing to check is column widths. Widen the column.
