Not allowing duplicate records
Hi
I have a workbook that has several worksheets. I have a MASTER where I record full details (where one customer could have multiple entries) and another (DATA) where I have transposed only required data from the master for a report. There are 2 things I was wondering if it was possible. 1. If Customer A needs their details to be entered on the MASTER 3 times - can I have a formula that will automatically fill some of the details to that row? Example: I am entering Customer A in row 3 and I want information from cols A & C in row 1 to fill the relevent cells in my sheet. AND 2. Once an entry has appeared in DATA, information for the other entries wont come into the data sheet from MASTER. Example: So what has happened is in the DATA sheet I have transposed the values from Cols A, D & F for customer A in row 1 but I now don't want information from row 3 to appear. (Hope this is clear - I'm confused!) Example (MASTER): A B C D E F 1 CustomerA 7 9 X L 6 2 CustomerB 6 7 Y R 4 3 CustomerA 8 7 Y P 6 cheers Debbie |
