I'm a newby to excel/vba, furthermore English is not my home language. I've
got a workbook containing a list of 1800 employees, each with a unique number. I need to search for a specific employee. The user is prompted to key in the number which is stored as "response". The response is verified to be a number. However I get the message "The word 123 was not found". I know I'm almost there - please help me! -- HJN |

answer. We are not mind readers. Tyro "Hennie Neuhoff" wrote in message ... I'm a newby to excel/vba, furthermore English is not my home language.
