Default Shortcut Key to delete rows

Is there a keyboard shortcut to delete selected rows? (PS: I know that there
is an icon, but am looking for keyboard shortcut)

Default Shortcut Key to delete rows

hi
Ctrl+- (minus sign) to delete
ctrl++ (plus sign) to add.

see this site for a downloadable xl file with all standard xl shortcut keys
good to 2003. not sure about 2007

Default Shortcut Key to delete rows

And if the rows aren't selected, the OP could use:
shift-spacebar to select the rows of the selected area with the activecell.

(ctrl-spacebar will select the column of the selected area with the activecell.)

you can try after selecting the row(s) to do ctrl + d

For inserting hold "ctrl & shift" then press "+"
For deleting press "ctrl" then "-"

for inserting option hold "ctrl & shift" then press "+" (plus sign)
for deleting option just hold "ctrl" then press "-" (minus sign)

you can't really go directly to delete row

what if you are looking to delete a large number of rows. What I need to do is delete rows that have data in them and keep the blank ones of a list of atleast 3500
