Default Global percentage decimal places default formatting

I need to display a lot of percentages in my Excel sheets and charts.
Changing the display format to percentages requires you to specify how many
decimal places, or accept the default of 2. Changing the default is very
time consuming and I wonder if it is possible to change this default at a
global level.

I'm using Excel 2007, but need to know also for my colleague who uses Excel
2003.

Not sure how to change the default setting, but if you have the
formatting toolbar visible then you only need to click on the Increase
Decimal (or Decrease Decimal) icon to change it - you don't need to go
into Format | Cells | Number tab. You can highlight a group of cells
first to apply the changes in one go.

Hope this helps.

Not really - I do need to find a way of doing it globally.
