how to subscribe to this list in hotmail? slightly off topic

I need this list at work. does anyone know how/if you can subscribe to the
excel list through hotmail? It seems at work that I can't get the lists
through this page. It doesn't allow a popup for me to respond to a question
or ask a question. I have popups enabled. This happened both on my work
computer and my laptop wireless and i used IE as well as Firefox. I was
trying to set up a list in my spaces and I couldn't.
tnx,

This is a usenet newsgroup, not a list. If you have a newsreader, use
this link

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.excel.misc

otherwise you can see the copy located in Google-Groups.

This isn't a mailing list, it's a newsgroup.

You can access it through your newsreader (OE or your preferred
alternative). This link might get you started:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.excel.misc
(with further advice at http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/ie/oe6nws01.htm)

... or you can access it though Google Groups (particularly useful if you
want to search the archives):
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...el.misc/topics

.... or there are a variety of other web interfaces, but in general these
wouldn't be recommended here.

In your message you say "I can't get the lists through this page", but it
isn't obvious what you mean by "this page". You are presumably using some
web interface to the newsgroup, but please remember that many of the rest of
us aren't.

David -

In the message properties, you can read that the OP used this:

X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000

which is the abominable Microsoft interface for these forums. You posted
using:

X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.3138
