Read-Only Mode
I sent out an excel attachment and the recipient sedited it and sent it back
to me but now I can only view it in Read-Only Mode. Does this have soemething to do with the version I'm using? I have Excel 2007 and they are using 93 and above. |
Read-Only Mode
SAVE the file to your drive. Highlight it, Right Click, a box opens Click on
Properties and un-check Read Only. Bob M. "Robin" wrote: I sent out an excel attachment and the recipient sedited it and sent it back to me but now I can only view it in Read-Only Mode. Does this have soemething to do with the version I'm using? I have Excel 2007 and they are using 93 and above. |

I would like to add that before my upgrade to Office 2007 I was able to receive an attachment ,make a chenge to it and hit save. I would then be able to go back to that email and open the atachment and it would have content that I had changed and saved. I can't save the attachment now in outlook since it is read-only. |
Read-Only Mode
It is also possible the other person you send the file to is using Excel 2003
or earlier. If so, they need to go to www.microsoft.com/office and download the Compatibility Pack. This will solve your problem.
