Unprotecting a Workbook in Excel 2003
Hi All! I need to unprotect (forever) a workbook in Excel 2003. I've
tried doing what Help says (Tools Protect Unprotect Workbook); however, no matter whether I save the document, or resave as a new document, the file keeps coming up as either a read only or as a password protected documented. I need it to be just a regular ole document!! Thanks for any help!! |
Unprotecting a Workbook in Excel 2003
There are lots of levels of protection in excel.
worksheet protection (tools|protection|protect sheet) workbook protection (tools|Protection|protect workbook) and at least one mo File|SaveAs|Tools|General Options|Password to open (and password to modify) It sounds like you really want the last one. wolvina wrote: Hi All!
