I'm trying to add numbers based on criteria from another cell. So for
example, if D2 contains the value of KS then I want the values of cells AC2,
AD2, and AE2 added together. I then need this do throughout the entire
worksheet to arrive at a total sum. Any help or information is appreciated.

Select an empty column in which you wish to have these results....and put
this formula in row 2 of that column, then copy and paste it down that column
as far as you have data in the other columns.

=IF(D2="KS",SUM(AC2,AD2,AE3),"")
