Excel 2003
I have been using Excel for many years now, all of a sudden, whenever I try
to open an excel file I get this: This file needs to be opened by The Microsoft Excel Worksheet text. I have to say no and close out and open up excel program and then go to the file and open it. How can I get it back to just double clicking the file and getting it to open up in excel. The extensions say excel, so that is not it. Thank you. |

The first thing that I'd try is to reregister excel to set it back to factory
defaults. Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver Then test it out.
