Default enable automatic refresh

I have an excel sheet that requires me to push a button to enable
automatic refresh. Is there a way to make it automatically perform a
refresh so I don't have to push this button?

Thanks,
Chris

What does "refresh" mean. Autocalculate?

Hi,

What do you want to trigger the refresh - something that happens in the
spreadsheet or some sort of time increment?

Where is the data relative to the pivot table - same workbook, different
workbook, or an external database such as Access?

Default enable automatic refresh

Its a financial worksheet that pulls data from other internet sites.
When it opens it displays the following message and I always click the
enable button. I'd prefer it was always enabled.

Query Refresh

This workbook contains queries to external data that refresh
automatically

queries are used to import external data into excel, but harmful
queries can be used to access confidential information or write
information back to a database

if you trust the source of this workbook, you can enable automatic
query refresh...

Hi Chris,

With the pivot table selected open the pivottable menu and choose Table
Options, and turn on Refresh on Open or Refresh Every...

Since you didn't tell us what version of Excel, I am assuming 2003 or earlier.
