hidden macro affects how other files open
I have a macro sitting in the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\user-name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel \XLSTART The worksheet in the excel file with macro itself is "hidden". When I open other excel files they would not show data upon opening. I need to do Windows, Unhide, Cancel to get them to show data. Instead of Cancel in the Unhide popup window I can select the macro (which is the only name in it which makes sense as the real file with data is not hidden) and unhide it - the file with data will also show... The problem exist only on one computer - same macro on other machines does not prevent other files to be visible upon opening. If I delete the file with macro, everything opens up normally. So, the fact that a file with hidden worksheet exists in the XLSTART folder somehow affects what Excel shows. I assume an Excel setting on that machine should be tweaked but do not see which one. Any ideas? Thanks a lot |
