Date and number not displayed correctly

I am having a problem with excel. when i open a file the date and numbers are not displayed correctly since the columns are getting squeezed and the format of the cells is not correct. when i open the same report on a different system the data is displayed correctly. What exactly do you mean by "the format of the cells is not correct"? Other than the columns being squeezed and, therefore, you might see "#" symbols, what else is wrong? What font is used? If the font is not available one system or the other, a default font will be selected, which might be wider. Another possibility is the screen resolution, I think; perhaps even aspect ratio (4:3 v. 16:9). Look at the Display control panel. |

I noticed that the font for the date shows as Arial 7, while it has been set to Arial 8. And when i select the 'Format Cell' option, it displays the Custom option 'yyyy!/ mm!/dd'. It should display Date '*2001/03/01'. Thanks, Manasi |
