How to edit drop down list source
Hello,
My predecessor made a Timesheet form. I have been able to add information by going through datavalidationinput message, but I am not sure how to access the data that actually impacts calculations. I can see the source (that begins with =, but I am not sure where it is located or how to edit it). Any help would be great! -B |
How to edit drop down list source
Your source list could be a named range on another worksheet or in a hidden
range of the worksheet you are on. Rather than make some guesses, go to Debra Dalgleish's site for info and instructions. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlDataVal01.html Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Fri, 4 Jan 2008 13:02:01 -0800, Outlook, eh? wrote: Hello, My predecessor made a Timesheet form. Thanks for the suggestion!
I unhid all of the sheets, looked on another tab (which only has one of the data validation lists) and looked around the HTML/XML scripting, but can't find where I can add a value to the existing list of values (for example, we have H, V, S, B, P for holiday, vacation, sick, birthday, personal that automatically inserts 8 hours into the time sheet). I want to add W for Weather, which wasn't tough to add so that it displays in the list of choices, but it doesn't make 8 hours appear. Instead you get an error message that was created within the script. "Outlook, eh?" wrote: Hello, My predecessor made a Timesheet form.
