worksheets. How do you set it up to allow single clicking (I already went through the control panel and selected it for the computer, but excel is still wanting a double click) |

Open any folder and click TOOLS on the menu and then click FOLDER OPTIONS.
If necessary, click the General tab and in the panel named CLICK ITEMS AS FOLLOWS click the SINGLE CLICK TO OPEN... Click the APPLY command button and OK to exit. -- Kevin Backmann "lilwoozy" wrote: The default is double click to open files or folders when opening or saving worksheets. I don't have a FOLDER OPTIONS on the TOOLS menu. I'm not sure what version of
Excel this is. Is there another way to do this or is an upgrade the only option? "Kevin B" wrote: Open any folder and click TOOLS on the menu and then click FOLDER OPTIONS. You need to open a folder from My Computer or from Windows Explorer and then
click on TOOLS in the Folder menu. This is a Windows feature and not an Excel one. -- Kevin Backmann "lilwoozy" wrote: I don't have a FOLDER OPTIONS on the TOOLS menu. Well, why don't you try opening a folder from MY COMPUTER.
I'm using Windows XP and Excel 2003 and when I set the folder options from a folder window, not the Control Panel, single clicks do the trick... -- Kevin Backmann "lilwoozy" wrote: I did that already except I got to FOLDER OPTIONS by going through CONTROL PANEL and then APPEARANCE AND THEMES. Either way brings up the same box. "single click to open an item (point to
select)" is already selected. In windows explorer and on desktop icons single clicking works. For some reason Excel (and Word) still requires double clicks. I checked and the version is Excel 2000.
