Windows XP, XL 2003
Opening an XL file from Windows Explorer, multiple errors occur saying that the file could not be found in the specified path. The error occurs once for each folder level of the file location path. For example, if the file is located in C:\Test\goal\better\noble\peanut\, then it will first produce an error saying that the file could not be found in "\Test\". The next error would state that it could not be found in "\Test\goal\". Then "\Test\goal\better\". Then "\Test\goal\better\noble\". Then the file would open. While Excel is open, any and all files will open without error. But if it is closed and an Excel file is double-clicked, then the errors are displayed based on the file path. This was working fine a couple of days ago. Any ideas why this is happening? Regards, Paul P.S. - I've already deleted the file association for .xls and re-associated it with no change. -- |
