start:1 and start:2 - how did i get 2 copies?

I am working in a spreadsheet called start.
For some reason I have start:1 and start:2
When I close one of them they both close
When I go to where start is saved it just says start.xls - i click to open
it and both :1 and :2 open.

How did I do that?
How do I make it go back to just being one instance of start.xls?

Thanks in advance!

Open the workbook, press ctrl + F4, save the workbook. What happened was
that at one point you opened an extra window of the same file and then saved
it

so you can either close it by hitting the x below the big X upper right or
press ctrl + F4 to close the extra window
then save the file
