Basic Formulas not calculating
 

All of the sudden, formulas are not calculating. This is happening in
completely different spreadsheets. Its as if they aren't calculating. For
example, I have this formula =SUM(E4:E38), and its returning a zero. And
yes, I have numbers in that range. :)

Any ideas??

Tools/ Options/ Calculation
Make sure it's set to Automatic, not Manual.

Perhaps the cell format for E4 through E38 (maybe the whole column) has
become Text... you can't sum text even if that text looks like a number.
Right click a cell with one of your "numbers" in it and click FormatCells
from the popup menu to see what format the cell actually is.

Basic Formulas not calculating
 

I had checked both of those after reading some other posts. Its set to
'Automatic', and I have the whole worksheet set to 'General'. I opened the
same spreadsheet on someone else's computer, and it worked fine. So it might
be specific to my settings, just can't figure out what it is.
