complex data entry forms design with excel
I need to design a data entry form in excel. The problem is that one part of
the form requires different column width than second part where I need to design a table with different column widths. Is this possible with Excel 2003 |

You could use Format|cells|alignment tab|and merge some cells to combine cells
into a "wider cell". But merged cells can screw up lots of other things. I wouldn't do this. Amol Karnik wrote: I need to design a data entry form in excel. Could you suggest an alternative solution in that case

Use wide cells for the whole column.
If you're trying to put separate tables on the same worksheet, then I wouldn't do that either. I'd put each table on a different worksheet. Then the columnwidths wouldn't be much of an issue.
