Problems sorting in excel 2007
Hi,
I having never had problems sorting in Excel 2007 until today. I have an excel spreadsheet with headers and I select the whole worksheet and go data/sort. I then choose the header I want to use to sort and sort it from A to Z. In this case it is by company name. When I hit okay it looks like 2/3 of the sheet sorts based on company name from A to Z. But the last 1/3 show the remaining companies A to Z. Can anyone tell me why all the A's aren't showing together and all the B's, etc.? -- Thanks, Skybble |
Problems sorting in excel 2007
I think I figured it out. The column I am sorting by looks like some of the
data has a space at the front before the text starts. Once I deleted the space, it put the entry with the same company name further in the list. So, my next question is; Is there a command or something that I can run in that column only and tell it to delete the space at the beginning of the entry, only if there is a space? I can't do a find replace, as far as I know, and say replace any space with no space because that will delete any spaces further in the cell that are suppose to be ther. -- Thanks, Skybble "Skybble" wrote: Hi, I having never had problems sorting in Excel 2007 until today.
